Cafe Serving Opportunity. Wednesdays by 6pm. Serve a meal outreach and bless 12 single moms this summer at MPPC ministry partner Bayshore Christian ministries by delivering a dinner by 6pm on Wednesday nights while they are taking classes. Sue Johnson, 650-759-7467, [email protected]

Summer Small Group Opportunity at the Café. Wednesdays, July 9 and 23; August 6 and 20. 700b Santa Cruz Avenue, Menlo Park. This summer the Cafe will host an "everyone's welcome" group study on the book of Philippians (4 chapters). Back to School Outreach – In two weeks, four of our Education partners will be on campus to invite you to help make a difference in students’ lives.  Three of the programs (Adopt a Teacher, FutureProfits, Bridgemont) will have information on how you can volunteer.  Our fourth partner, Verbo Family Services, will be collecting backpacks and school supplies.  Needed items can be found at mppc.org/backpacks.  Verbo will be collecting these backpacks on July 27 and August 3 and distributing them to low income families in the Fair Oaks community of Redwood City. Katharine Sherwin, [email protected]

Arts of the Covenant Event - Awakening the Artist Within. Thursday, July 24, 7:30pm Menlo Park: E Building - 900 Santa Cruz Ave. The artistic process -- painting, photography, filmmaking, or music -- can trigger a creative connection between artists and their creator in rich, rewarding, and even frustrating ways. Knowing God: Moving from Head to Heart. July 24-August 28 from 7-9pm. A class/small group whose purpose is to enable the participants to develop a relationship with God and come to know God's love from experience. This six-week small group consists of presentations, sharing, and suggested actions and/or reflections to do between sessions. Loving Yourself as You are Loved. Thursdays, beginning July 29 from 7:30-9pm in room C-21. This is a four-week class we run several times a year. Learn how to apply Christ’s teachings and the scriptures to transform your negative feelings about yourself and your life situations into positive ones. Summer Family Fun Nights Every Tuesday in July from 5:30-7:30pm on the Mountain View Patio. Join us this week for a summer BBQ as we celebrate the warm weather and ease of summertime. Kenya Mission Trip Info Meeting. Sunday, July 27, 12pm, Mountain View Fireside Room. Learn about the Mission Trip to Kenya (Oct 22- Nov 2): Our trip will include 2 days on safari in the Masai Mara + 1 week at Achungo Children's Center, working with the 200 orphans, teaching games, sports, reading and tutoring, and working with the teachers in the classroom and on simple repair or gardening projects.
