We have neighbors near each of our MPPC campuses in desperate need. It is obvious that help is required, but it is sometimes easier to practice ignorance—at the very least because the problems seem too many and too complex. Yet Jesus calls us to “go and do likewise,” to follow the example of the one neighbor who stopped and cared for one specific person.
As part of The Ripple Effect, we have launched programs to support classrooms in under-resourced schools in an effort to build relationships with our neighbors. Your small group is invited to be matched with a teacher in a local school to provide material support and encouragement. By investing in teachers, we will help shape a positive classroom experience for the children in these schools. We will also grow as a church in our awareness of our neighbors’ needs and our response to God’s call for us to “go.”
