March 24-29, 2013 (full)
For the last 30 years, a group from MPPC high school ministries has made the trip to Mexicali, partnering with the same churches in five nearby villages. Throughout the week we build friendships with locals; working together, worshiping together, doing craft projects with ninos and eating what are arguably some of the best tacos, well, ever! One of our favorite things about the trip is our partnership with Verbo Church in Redwood City.
Students have the chance to share their stories as well as hear the powerful ways God has worked in the lives of Mexicali locals. Hope you can join us for what is bound to be a fun, exhausting and life-changing trip!

(One question that didn't make the sheet: Who am I to put as the Youth Leader? On the notary form: Please put Julie Gerughty)
Mandatory Training Times: March 3 and 10. Time: 3pm-4:30pm. Location: The Bank building @ 900 Santa Cruz Ave. Menlo Park
By committing to this trip, you are committing to be apart of our awesome Mexicali community - We want that to start here in Menlo. If you cannot make these meetings, please contact JUICE asap.
Commissioning: We will be commissioned by our church on March 16 and 17 at all of the services in the sanctuary and The Cafe. You only need to attend one of these services. Service times are 5pm on Sat, and 8, 9:30, 11 on Sunday in the sanctuary as well as 9:32 and 11:05 at The Cafe. Commissioning is one of the ways our students and leaders will be supported by the larger body of the church.
Scholarship Guidelines
We recognize this mission trip is expensive and would like to help you raise support. Depending on how much you are able to raise, MPPC can offer you some assistance with the rest of the cost. Click on the following links for two documents that can help you in this process: Fundraising Training and Support Letter Outline. Each student will need to work with their family, friends, and our church staff to raise as much of the cost as possible. Any questions with raising support, please contact Abby McHugh.
