Saturdays, 7:30 to 8:45 a.m., Menlo Park Campus, Fellowship Hall
This group, made up of Christian men and seekers of the faith, has met every week for over 40 years, and has been a source of strength, encouragement, inspiration and support to many men from our community. We start with a talk from one of our leaders, who come from the pastoral staff of the church and from a list of other experienced leaders. We move each week through a section of Scripture, and are currently working through the book of John.
After the talk, we have a time of "prayers and petitions," where men from the group speak about joys or concerns that need prayer from the group. We hold all that we hear in confidence, and in that environment men are often drawn to speak about challenges like illness, death, divorce, family, relationships, and career and financial difficulties. We follow this with a time of group prayer.
