Café Conversations
Possibly one of the most effective ways to grow in faith and connect with our community is through a committed small group experience of 3-12 people. Small groups meet anywhere from once a week to once a month for fellowship, study and prayer.  This is a core value at our church and although the connecting process can take time and persistent trial and error, we encourage you to begin the journey.

Hospitality Team
This team of 50+ people are vital to the core heartbeat of The Café.  Eight separate teams serve our community once a month on any given Sunday.  The teams rotate through the month by serving at either the 9:32 or the 11:05 Café.  They graciously do everything from making coffee, greeting, setting up chairs, answering questions, helping parents, cutting bagels, taking the offering, and praying for people when called upon to do so. It can be a great way to connect with others and give back at the same time!

The Café Band
We all recognize that our Father in heaven has put music on our hearts, and has in some ways even made it our first language, expressing what we can’t quite say with just words alone.  If you would like to be a part of one of several emerging café bands, please come to one of our auditions.  They take place the 2nd Monday of each month at 7 p.m., 700 Santa Cruz Avenue.

Tech Team
David Barshow leads our technology team in visual and production creativity.  This includes lighting, computer graphics, and video.  We invite you to bring your technology gifts to church!  We could use your help and are looking for people that like to serve the scene.

Café Connections
Café Connections organizes Dinners for Eight, which includes recruiting hosts, organizing the quarterly schedule, getting sign ups, and answering questions. We typically work on a quarterly basis, so if you are too busy to serve weekly, then this would be a great ministry for you. We are open to new ideas and are always looking for hosts.

Café Creations
The Art in the Box team aims to enhance the worship experience at the Café services through creative displays and artistic decor. Making use of the creative inspiration and imaginations of the Café community, we design and implement the art work which decorates the worship space. If you would like to bless the Cafe’ community with your own creative ideas on how to enrich the Café with art work, then please consider joining our team.

Service/Compassion/Justice
There is no greater way to grow closer to the church community than to serve along side of each other.  The Café not only closely supports its members in international mission trips, but also organizes three service projects each year with our neighbors in East Palo Alto.  Anybody at any age and with any skill level can participate.  These projects are the heart of what has bonded The Café into a family.
